Gaspésie Gourmande: Just who are we really? Gaspésie Gourmande is an association of agricultural, marine and forest producers and processors with some 140 members. Our rank and file also include associate members—businesses, restaurants, chefs and bed-and-breakfasts—who sell or serve our products.
Gaspésie Gourmande's mission can be summed up in three words: promotion, marketing and tourism. These three priority areas have given shape to an action plan that calls for training, the creation of practical tools for producers, promotional campaigns, the Fine Food Tour, the website, the Guide-Magazine, representation, etc. This action plan is implemented by our three-person in-house team as well as by a number of freelancers who are always on hand to lend us their expertise and share their passion to help us fulfill our mission. Our motivation: participate in the healthy business development of Gaspésie Gourmande members. We hope that our work will help these businesses and their products shine and be a source of pride for all our members. More specifically, our mission is to:
Gaspésie Gourmande strives to be the authority and beacon for the gourmet delights of the Gaspé Peninsula, both at home and outside the region.
At Gaspésie Gourmande, we value leadership, quality and democracy. We work hard to help producers improve the overall quality of their service offer. We want to help producers take one step forward, regardless of their type of business or their targeted market segment. We feel it is very important to tackle these objectives head on, with daring and innovation. In terms of our day-to-day operations, we are driven by the desire to be creative and effective and to implement simple solutions across our various strategies. We first and foremost want to enjoy our work, because after all, we love our artisans and the products they make. |
